📥 Import Customers – Bulk Upload Guide #
1. Navigate to “Import Customers” #
- Log in to your back-office.
- In the purple sidebar, click Customers.
- Select Import Customers.
- The page shows:
- A Choose File field + grey Submit button.
- A purple Export Customer button (to download the template).

3. Export the Template #
- Click the purple Export Customer button.
- A CSV is downloaded (usually named
customer_export.csv). - Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets.
4. Fill the CSV #
The export already contains all required columns. Common ones:
- Contact ID – unique code (
C00001). Leave blank to auto-generate. - Business / Display Name (Required).
- First / Last Name of the contact person.
- Email, Mobile – plain text, no formulas.
- Tax Number – VAT/TRN/GST.
- Credit Limit – numeric (e.g., 25000).
- Pay Term – days or months (use two columns: value + period).
- Address, Zone, Industry, Assigned To, etc.
Rules:
- Do not rename or move columns.
- Date fields use
YYYY-MM-DD. - Remove any demo rows before saving.
When finished, Save / Download as CSV (UTF-8).
5. Import the File #
- Click Choose File, select your updated CSV.
- Press the grey Submit button (it turns purple once a file is selected).
- Wait for the success toast or an error list to appear.
6. Troubleshooting #

| “Mandatory field missing” | Blank Business/Display Name or Email. | Fill required columns and re-upload. |
| “Duplicate Contact ID” | ID already exists in system. | Use a new ID or leave blank for auto-generation. |
| File rejected | Saved as Excel workbook. | Re-save as .csv (comma-separated). |
7. Best Practices #
- Create customer groups and zones beforehand if you plan to use them in the CSV.
- Start with 2-3 test rows before importing large batches.
- Keep a dated backup of every CSV for audit purposes.
- Use consistent naming conventions for Contact ID like
CUST-0001.
