🚚 Shipments – Track All Deliveries #
1. Navigate to “Shipments” #
- Log in to your restaurant management system.
- In the sidebar, click Sales.
- Under Sales, select Shipments.
- The shipments page will open showing:
- An expanded Filters section with multiple search criteria.
- A data table displaying all shipment records with delivery details.
- Export options and management tools for tracking deliveries.
- Comprehensive filtering by payment status, shipping status, and service staff.
2. Understanding Shipments #
Shipments track the delivery process of customer orders. They include:
- Delivery Tracking – Monitor order status from preparation to delivery.
- Service Staff Assignment – Track which delivery personnel handle each order.
- Payment Integration – Link delivery status with payment processing.
- Customer Communication – Maintain delivery updates and customer contact.
- Location Management – Track deliveries across multiple restaurant locations.
Effective shipment management ensures timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
3. Use Advanced Filters to Find Shipments #
- The Filters section provides comprehensive search options:
- Basic Filters:
- Business Location – Select “All” or specific restaurant location.
- Customer – Choose “All” or select a specific customer.
- Date Range – Set start and end dates (format: DD/MM/YYYY).
- User – Filter by “All” users or select specific staff member.
- Advanced Filters:
- Payment Status – Filter by payment completion (All, Paid, Pending, Partial).
- Shipping Status – Filter by delivery status (All, Pending, In Transit, Delivered, Cancelled).
- Service Staff – Filter by assigned delivery personnel (All or specific staff member).
- The table will automatically refresh to show filtered results.
- Use the Search box (top-right) for quick text-based filtering.
4. Manage Table Display Options #
- Show entries – Select how many shipments to display per page (10, 25, 50, 100).
- Export Options – Use the action buttons:
Export to CSV– Download shipments data as CSV file.Export to Excel– Download as Excel spreadsheet.Print– Print the current shipments list.Column visibility– Show/hide specific columns in the table.Export to PDF– Generate PDF report of shipments.
- All exports respect the currently applied filters.

Each shipment row has an Action dropdown with options:
- View Details – Open comprehensive shipment information and tracking history.
- Edit Shipment – Modify delivery details, addresses, or special instructions.
- Update Status – Change shipping status (Pending → In Transit → Delivered).
- Assign Staff – Change or assign delivery personnel to the shipment.
- Track Delivery – View real-time delivery progress and location updates.
- Contact Customer – Quick access to customer communication tools.
- Print Shipping Label – Generate delivery labels and documentation.
- Mark as Delivered – Complete the delivery process and update records.
- Cancel Shipment – Cancel delivery and update order status.
7. Sort and Navigate Shipment Data #
- Column Sorting – Click on column headers to sort data:
- First click: Sort ascending (A-Z, oldest to newest).
- Second click: Sort descending (Z-A, newest to oldest).
- Third click: Remove sorting.
- Pagination – Use the bottom navigation:
- Previous – Go to previous page of results.
- Next – Go to next page of results.
- Page numbers show current position in results.
- Results Info – Bottom shows “Showing X to Y of Z entries” for context.
8. Handle Empty Shipment List #
When no shipments match your filters, you’ll see:
- “No data available in table” message in the table area.
- “Showing 0 to 0 of 0 entries” at the bottom.
- This could mean:
- No shipments scheduled for the selected time period.
- All deliveries completed and archived.
- Filters are too restrictive (specific staff, status, or location).
- No orders requiring delivery in the system.
- To resolve: Clear filters, expand date range, or check different locations/staff assignments.
9. Shipping Status Management #
