- Log in to your back-office.

- The product table appears with
Edit,View, and a redDeletebutton in each row.

- Type
DELETE(if prompted) or click Yes / Confirm to proceed. - The product disappears from the list and is now permanently removed.
3. Bulk-Delete Multiple Products #
- At the far-left of each row, tick the checkbox for every product you want to delete.
- After selecting, a purple Delete Selected button appears above the table (or inside the “Bulk Actions” dropdown).
- Click Delete Selected.
- Confirm the bulk deletion prompt.
Tip: Use filters (category, brand, status) first, then the “Select All” checkbox to remove whole groups quickly.
4. Table Tools & Filters #
- Search: Instant keyword filter (name, SKU, category).
- Advanced Filters: Top-right funnel icon lets you filter by Category, Brand, Unit, etc.
- Show Entries: Change pagination size via the dropdown.
- Export / Print: Before deleting, you can back-up the list with
Export to CSV / Excel / PDForPrint.
5. Troubleshooting #
| Issue | Reason | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Delete button greyed out | Product has stock on hand or is part of open transactions. | Adjust stock to zero and close related transactions, then delete. |
| Error: “Product in use” | Product linked to existing sales/purchase records. | Archive instead (toggle Inactive) to hide without deletion. |
| Accidentally deleted | No undo option. | Re-create the product or restore from a database backup. |
6. Best Practices #
- Always export a CSV backup before mass deletion.
- Prefer Deactivate / Inactive status if you might sell the item again.
- Ensure stock quantity is zero to avoid ledger discrepancies.
- Use bulk filters + “Select All” in stages (100 rows max) to keep server load light.
7. Done! 🎉 #
You can now remove single or multiple products safely and keep your catalogue clean. Delete responsibly!
